CORE CATERING SUPPLIES was established in 1998, aimed at servicing the exploding South African Hotel and Restaurant Industry with their Kitchen and Tableware product requirements. The initial product range consisted mainly of imported Glass & Kitchen Accessories but throughout the coming years the company continued to add new product groups and ranges, resulting in CORE today being a Main Supplier of: GLASSWARE - CROCKERY - CUTLERY - KITCHEN SMALLS - EQUIPMENT - PLASTIC WARE - BAR ACCESSORIES - UNIFORMS and alike, with the clear and continued emphasis of being an industrial food service supplier.

Where Core used to import almost all product directly from the manufacturing factories all over the world, the vast scope of ranges required made efficient and consistent stockholding a difficult undertaking. Hence in 2009 Core decided to maintain a few exclusive product lines and then structure deals with other importers for the remainder of product required. Although most non stock items can now be sourced with quick lead times, substantial quantities of all regular items are continuously kept in stock by each branch .
All in all, CORE has become the preferred choice for "One Stop Shopping", enabling their customers to place all their requirements with one supplier and thereby reducing time and effort. Through various affiliations with other related suppliers, we are also able to source and connect our customers with other suppliers for product currently not stocked by CORE. Complete Turnkey solutions for new restaurants, hotels and bars have also become an important focus and with that, most certainly have again added more value to dealing with CORE.

CORE`s strength in the market place lies in its ability to supply product and quantity thereof Ex-Stock and still maintain highly competitive prices. Qualified representatives are servicing all areas on a regular basis and are always available to spontaneously deal with their customers queries and requirements. CORE has franchised branches  throughout South Africa, with some areas being serviced by authorized agents, making Core an ideal partner for other nationwide represented customers.
The large bulk purchasing of product for the group, has resulted in very keen pricing from all our supplies, a saving that is passed  directly on to our customers. These Outlets have become a prime destination for any potential customer, due to the fantastic price points, ease of availability and highly attentive customer service by the well-qualified personnel. The “no fuss specialty store” environment and pricing, linked with attentive and well educated personal, have been a great success, so much so, that we will continue opening further branches throughout the country.

The staff of both companies is well connected with each other and able to offer various expertise to our customers.
